Japanese and American cars usually have plenty of gas when it say 0 range remaining, but the Germans are a lot more precise when it comes to that. I found out the hard way.

These gas prices are killing me. It was $4.79 a gallon for premium at Costco. That’s like $1+ cheaper than the regular gas stations.

I actually saw prices drop $.03 yesterday at the station down the street from me. Stations in my town were stuck on $4.99 for a while, and I wondered if they were trying to keep from the psychology of having a "5" as the first number. It went up to $5.03, and then back down to $4.99 a couple of days later.

But the $4.99 I saw yesterday was with something I have never ever seen before -- it was $4.99 0/10ths, NOT 9/10ths. I don't ever remember any gas price NOT being 9/10ths.

i find these programs to be a bunch of b.s. - charge too much for groceries to make customers feel good when we give them a discount on gas.

Regardless, it's where we get our groceries as they have the best prices in town, and they offer fuel points which often times add up to a significant discount, so we use them.

Kroger has cheap food prices, or as cheap as you're gonna find right now except for maybe Walmart. Thier generic is dirt cheap and excellent. I have absolutely saved a BUNDLE in gas money over the years from the points. Kroger doesn't overcharge. Publix is a different story.

For me, its the same grocery store I always use anyways, so may as well earn gas points.
