Default Could this be the first glimpse of the 2019 ES

Wonder how much the 2019 ES based on the Avalon and ES's similarities in the past will share with the 2019's. Sure does not look like the old Avalon. Pic is the 2018 Avalon.

I think the biggest news about the 2019 Avalon is the inclusion of Apple CarPlay (with Android Auto to hopefully follow in the future).

I guess hell in Nagoya must have frozen over

I hadn't heard about this until this post. Disappointed that Android isn't planned immediately like Apple. I found an article on The Verge that goes into more detail.
According to this article you'll need to plug your phone in IOW no Bluetooth connection... Lexus, still lagging behind...

I think BMW is the only one with CarPlay via Bluetooth, and they charge a subscription fee.

I’ve used it on other makes and have had to plug it in. Part of why I think it’s not hardly what it’s cracked up to be.
