Myth busted...BOO!!! It looks as though the F Sport filter's outer edge is just a tad bit bigger overall to seat properly.

I wonder if the blitz filter is the same exact design since they make the F Sport ones for Lexus.

I have the blitz filter (website said it was for 2is though) and that did not fit...same problem as above - lid wouldn't close.

I have found the F Sport filter that does fit the 4th Gen GS, part number PTR03-53141-AA. Got in on eBay and matches up perfectly with the OEM filter.

So this part above is different from this part below - post 14 - that doesn't fit?

Look at the rubber seal, it's identical to the OEM filter seal and not the sama as the filter seal in post 14

That's what it kinda looks like. Mind taking this new part out of the bag, so we can ditch the glare off of the bag and get a good shot of it next to the OEM filter? Thanks.

I've seen the part on eBay too. It's sold by a Lexus dealer. So if they say it fits, it fits. They sell different ones for the IS and RC.

To 2squared, any noticeable difference in performance or sound?

Not really much diiferent than the K&N filter I had in it before. Now I have filter I can clean and not worry about having to oil it.

Yup, thats the same one I got and it fit perfect. I still haven't bought the cleaning solution yet. I am going to wait until I get closer to 20-30k miles with this filter before I start order it off ebay below. I can't validate spending 30 bucks right now for something that is going to be sitting for quite a while until I need it.

Wow that's a lot of miles to run a filter without cleaning it. The label says to clean filter at recommended Lexus service intervals. Same schedule as replacing the paper one.

Well it would probably be at the 20k mile marker. The last time I change my filter when I had the paper one at 17k, it wasn't really all that dirty, but I guess it also depends on location and the road/weather conditions.
