Anyone with aggressive specs? I have a set of junction produce scara's that are 19x9 +16 and 19x10 +23. Fit pretty nice on my 2IS with camber kit all around, but was wondering if it would be possible on the 3IS chassis as there isn't as much room to play with. I'm currently on air if that helps
Are 19x9 +32 safe up front for a car that is sort of low? With a 225/35/19? I realize difference brands of tires clear differently as not all 225/35/19s are the same in terms of tread width and clearance and some tires may have visible stretch yet still remain with the manufacturer's recommended rim with.
I'm on stock wheels at the moment and the top of the tires appear flush with the top of the arch of the front fender. I am on coilovers and am near RSR Superdown AWD height, natural camber. No spacers. My liners rub sometimes if I am not careful, but I am careful generally. If I had 25mm spacers up front, I would expect paint off the edge of the fender from what I have seen from other threads at this height. I don't want mess up a fender due to offset (i.e. pull it out accidentally) but want it to sit right.
My second set
Work Emotion Kiwami
19x9.5+38 225 35 19
19x10.5+32 235 35 19
My 3rd set I never got a chance to install them but they are posted in the for sale section
SSR Sp4
19x9.5+25
19x11+37
Hi Juvi, did you have to use spacers for your second set at the front? I am looking at a set of 18X9.5 ET38 rims for my 3IS, but not sure if the front would fit without spacers.

Did you end up getting those wheels? I'd also like to know if those specs will fit without front spacers. I'm interested in a set of 18x9.5 +40.

i did some more research in the forum. I think Otakusan put on a set of 18x9 et45, which is ~3mm from the control arm. My 18x9.5 et38 should be about the same. I am not too worried about the rims stick out the fender. If I get those rims, i will to use 3mm spacers. This is the reason why I am still holding back on them.
Just got my wife's "old" 2014 IS250 AWD for my new work car. All stock. It has the staggered 18" setup on it (not F Sport). She has managed to get two bent rims one in front and one in the rear. All the wheels show at least some curb rash. For what it would cost me to replace the 2 OEM wheels I can get a whole set of aftermarket rims. Looking to stay around $600 for the set. I am thinking a square setup since this is a daily driver and I can rotate to get more tire life that way. Thinking a 18x8.5 with offset +35 to +40. I would also like to step up to a 245/40/18 or maybe a 235/40/18 to give me a little more sidewall with the hope that it will protect from another bent rim. I have seen some posts saying the 245 is a little big and you can feel it. Haven't seen any posts on the 235/40/18. Both would be at least a 1/2" wider than the factory front 225/40/18 and neither would be quite as wide as the OE 255/35/18. I test fit my OE rears onto the front and they were really close on the inside so I added some washers to bring it out about 13mm. That gave me plenty of clearance on the inside and made it sit about flush with fender but is real close to rubbing the plastic wheel well under load turning the wheel. So I wonder if 18x8.5+35 with a 245 would rub the wells under the right conditions.
As for wheels I know there are some really nice ones in this thread but I am not ever going to lower this car, race it, or show it. It is just a daily driver so I do not want to spend big bucks on the wheels I would rather get some good Michelin tires that will last and do good in the snow. So here are some I am looking at on eBay. I am sure that none of these are as good as a forged high dollar wheel nor will they be as light but I am not worried about that. I just need wheels that are round LOL. Let me know what you think. Car is Atomic Silver.
