Yes your buffers can remove swirl marks but with certain product/pad combination....

yes you can mess up your paint with the rotary but if you keep it moving, that shouldnt' be an issue. rotary correcting power is 1000000x better than PC's too

i would say rotary since the powerball isn't designed for paint. it's designed for the hard to get places that a rotary can't such as your exhaust tips or spokes in a mesh wheel
