Ain't that the truth. Have you tried working on the modern Toyota/Lexus V6? Not sure about the new engines buy changing spark plugs on those engines were also a PITA due to the intake manifold...

When I was growing up, the car everyone wanted including myself with a IROC Z. This was during the late 80s. Of course we all wanted the V8 version and we very well knew about the tons of V6 versions...

That is actually a good thing. Better balance. When you can get the engine weight as far back behind the front axle as possible, that technically becomes a mid engine. Not a rear mounted mid engine...
