You wouldn't want to guess though - listen for an exhaust leak and try to pinpoint it first.

If done outside of the battery pack, you have to clamp the packs between two pieces of wood to prevent the battery from ballooning.

Voltage isn't all of it though, they need to be tested for capacity also, in which case 6.5ah is considered new.
