I can't believe that so many in here think so. It costs thousands and is mostly cosmetic. I don't think I would have bought the car, if those ridiculous sliding gauges were what it came with. ...

On what basis do you make these claims? Because it's a slightly newer platform? That's not the only thing that matters, you know. There are cost compromises that affect these things.

How do you figure it's "leagues" safer? I can keep in my lane just fine, without "assistance", thanks.

Is the 10-speed any better? 8 ratios is plenty. The problem is largely in the software, which is tuned for economy. "Sport" mode helps but doesn't really get it right, either - with this engine,...

They are 99% the same car. Swapping shocks for some that are (when in sport+ mode) slightly firmer does not catapult your precious "F sport" into a different category of car, sorry.

The IS350 is plenty "alive" without the "AVS" suspension. It's still in a very sporty state of tune. Unless you track you car and want that "extra stiff" suspension, I dare say the AVS does you no...

Manual mode is fine for "driving enthusiastically". Unfortunately the other 99% of the time I'm going to let the auto do it's thing, which is doing its best to keep the RPM's below 4000 RPM. ...

Did I miss it, or did no one suggest simply replacing the pads with the non-F pads? Unless you're tracking the car, they're better in all regards - less noise, dust, and disk wear.

It's too bad that Lexus took the cheap and sleazy path to detuning the IS300. Since they were giving-up high-RPM power (and thus the need to breath most efficiently at those high RPM's), they could...

Yeah, I hate paying for things that I don't want. The only options I got was the bigger motor, the heated/ventilated seats, the LED headlights, the reverse camera, and the blind-spot detection with...

What they should do, in my opinion, is re-calibrate the engine for LESS peak HP, instead giving it some "big motor torque in the lower RPM's were it's useful 99% of the time. It's just not good to...

Mine's the same way - always smooth, but idling fast, when it's cold. As for the tires, my 225/45-17 Dunlop Winter Sports are noticeably "squishier" than the 225/40-18 (square) Michelin Pilot Super...

Indeed, I'm amazed when I see people saying that it's what sold them on the F-sport package. I don't like it near as much as the traditional gauges.

I'm sure that I'm one of the few who got the 17's (square) on my '350 RWD (non F). These are now my Winter wheels, and I bought some nice 18" aftermarket wheels (also square) for the summer. This,...

I much prefer the look of my 2014 non-F. No more dual headlights? No more fog lights? Lame! Since I don't have nav, the bigger screen is of no use to me.

I would like more power down low. If it had the torque at 2500 that it does at 4000, that's power you can enjoy all the time, not just the 1% of the time that you are "getting on it".

Swiffer duster works good to remove dust and light dirt. After that, a moistened micro-fiber cloth, used gently, will safely clean-up anything that's been sneezed on there.

Do you put on real Winter tires? I've driven open-diff RWD cars for many years, and they do just fine. Modern traction control systems make LSD rather redundant.

Huh? The ratios can be "chosen" to be whatever they want them to be, and even with 8 ratios the gaps between 1-2 and 2-3 are too wide. It wouldn't be as bad if the engine didn't have such a narrow...

The non-F isn't the "low end" IS, it just don't have that (totally cosmetic in the 250) package. IMO the non-F is better.
