Default What is this for?

Took out the glove box to check my servos and the glove box had this canle hanging off.

Does anyone know what's it for?

Tried seeing what is around the area to figure it out and it has stumped me.

My guess is, it limits the fall of the glove box door.

Were you working on the HVAC servos/actuators?
if so, did pulling the glovebox provide the access you wanted?
i just went from the bottom.

Yes. Wanted to check the servos because I am suffering from the driver side cold passenger warm symptom.

All looked good and removing the glove box gave me ample room to maneuver.

It looks like everyone is working on those servos. Mine is also making the noise. Appears to be the mode servo. I too removed the glove box for better access.

Here is a photo of how the cable is attached. It looks like your cable broke or the connector came loose.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, it looks like mine broke off.

Now knowing how it needs to go I will make a new rig for it.

Does anyone have the part number for this cable? Mine is broken as well. I found ones for an LX470, so I'm sure I can purchase just the part (versus the entire glovebox) but I can't find the part number. Any help?

Thanks. Brian

Do you think that is the antenna cable for the radio? The SC is suppose to have two of them. One in the rear and one under the dash.
