Congrats Rip. I believe many SC430 owners overlook this advice. In my case, instant throttle response and transmission down shifts return RIGHT after completing the ECU RESET. Pass it on !!!

In agreement with BGW. I'd be surprised if the ECU is different than the LS430. They share many parts, including the engine, so I suspect that they have the same ECU, besides, Lexus should want to have the same commands fleet-wide to make it easier on their mechanics.

Until you get the original problem fixed, any kind of throttle inhanser will be useless. When you get the original problem fixed, you will most likely not want a throttle inhanser.

Wait. I understand the throttle enhancer as the fix, it removes that initial lag. If not then I am not sure how to correct the issue. I was hopeful that plug and play device would cure the problem.

You could have a MAF problem. Check all vacuum hoses.

hope4 did you get a guy to look over the whole car yet ? Do that first. Pretty sure it’s a mechanical issue you have. I don’t ever recall our cars not being super responsive.

Get the ECU checked. If just a couple of caps have leaked then there will be lag. Anyway, that has been my experience.

Drive with c-gate shifting to see if you have any lag. It should be a blast to drive like that. If you just put it into Drive and expect it to jump, you wont get it.

Unless.
You remap your ECU. I think it cost $300 for the fee & the cost of the ECU. I would suggest get spare ECU for this, and keep the original just in case you need to do smog check every other year like in CA.

I did the reset over the weekend for my LS and I do feel an improvement in the throttle response.
