I have the same issue. Heck, we probably all have the same issue. Sometimes the reflection of the dash on the windshield is very annoying. Interested in seeing what others have come up with.
I have ordered some black cotton felt, I’m gonna try to put enough backing or something on it so that it conforms nicely to the curves of the dashboard without being obtrusive or sliding around.
I know Cotton does not reflect I use it in my home theater.
Going to try and just cover the instrument "hump" at first
I don't have the problem you guys are discussing. Here's what I did (hope it helps):
Living in Florida at 28 degrees North, tint is kind of a necessity. So, not long after purchasing my SC, I had Llumar tint installed all around. The shop installed Air 80 (I think, might have been Air 90) on the windscreen.
I also use a matte finish Aerospace 303 protectant on the dash.
It is interesting to hear about this complaint regarding glare coming from the dashboard. I have not heard this before. I even use AS303 on my dashboard and find no glare issues (at least for me). I seem to not have a glare problem, but to each his own...
On my first car, I used a spray. That made the dash glare worse, so I decided no more coatings on the dash.
Original dash surface in SC430 should be matte. Years of use could deposit oils and what not. Have you tried cleaning it? Perhaps in two very small areas at first, one with soap and water, another with isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) to see which makes it better.

Although the SC430 is of the highest craftsmanship of its day, I would have to do some more research on what the material the dash is made of first. I personally never bothered to check. Then select whatever product is sufficient. Im sure there are a ton of products. Dawn dish soap and a soft bristle brush would do a great job at cleaning. But what do you use to protectit after. That doesn't create glare?.🤔
I haven't even started moving yet. Perfect reflection.
And of course, my only solution has been to buy a tighter fitting ball cap with a curved bill to limit the glare.

I can tell you that on my 06 the dash is no where near that reflective.
I spent some time looking at my 06 this morning and this is what I found.
1) my dash does reflect sunlight and it CAN be seen on the windshield.
2) I dont see it normally because I am not looking at it, but through it.
After driving around for an hour in different lightning environments I found that if I don't concentrate on it I don't see it. But if I focus my eyes very short so that I can see the inside of the windshield, I do see it.
I have concluded that it is there, but if I don't look for it "it isn't there."
I then checked the '04 LS and the '08 Sky and again, its there but I don't see it. All my cars have it!!! (7 cars)
Solution, stop obsessing over it. If you are OCD you will just have to find another solution.
