I used to have this problem. Really bad. Found out it was Armor All that did it. So no more Armor All on dash.

Keep the inside windshield clean. It helps.

I wonder if it a problem with the 2006+ cars. It's pretty bad in my '07.

I will expand my explanation. I have an 02. Midnight Pine Pearl. Saddle interior. I live in SoCal so top down is a rule. The glare issue is ONLY a problem for me when the top is down and the sun is just right, twice a day, depending on direction. For those who have never had the problem, Great. But when the suns reflection comes at me so hard I have to close one eye and shield the other with my free hand, believe me! Its a problem. FWIW.

Living in Florida at 28 degrees North, tint is kind of a necessity. So, not long after purchasing my SC, I had Llumar tint installed all around. The shop installed Air 80 (I think, might have been Air 90) on the windscreen.

I also use a matte finish Aerospace 303 protectant on the dash.
This is the solution but you all are 🤔😁”Glossing” over it pun intended…!

seriously, this will solve your issue..

My solution is a good pair of polarized sunglasses, works like a charm. It also transfers well to other cars in the home fleet

I’m an airline pilot, I’m used to looking out the window I can tell you it is so bad on my 07 that I have had difficult times seeing going in and out of shade. Going in the shade the reflection is so bad and it’s dark going in there I’ve had to move my head around to see. Granted it has shiny crap all over the top of the dash that I have to get removed either by myself or professionally. But I cannot believe this is not a problem for others.
if you’re not having a problem with it then I salute you, but I can tell you for some of us it is a very real issue. To me it is a safety issue it is so bad.

Ordered the spray, will use next week and let ya know how it did for my problem.

I’m also having an issue with my rearview mirror looking out the back window at night. Headlights seem to multiply along the defrost strips so one car might have A dozen lights as they collect around each defrost strip.
i’ve had the car parked in the warehouse most of the time so I haven’t had the opportunity to take it to somebody to see if there’s some weird window tinting on things. Being that it came from Arizona maybe somebody put something on the block UV but it isn’t dark

I have an 06 and I have neither problem. My dash is very dull and I have no issue with following traffic.

For those not having the problem I’d like to know where you live and what year your car is. This is not something I’m imagining. As confirmed by others that are having this problem. My rear window looks like this when a car is behind me.

The circles would be a headlight and then along each wire in the rear window is a reflection of it. I am assuming there is a film on the window causing this and will have it looked at when I get a chance. I repeat my car is been parked most of the time in the warehouse.

sounds to me like there has been some delamination of the heater element and the glas. I have no idea how you would fix something like that without replacing the entire glass. Do you have a glass shop nearby for a second opinion?

To get rid of that Armor All shine on the dash go with the Chemical Guys Invisible Super Cleaner.

Just spray on and work it with a brush and wipe off with a dry cloth.

Stuff works well.

I recently took the SC out and yes, when I paid attention the dashboard, there is reflection! It has not bothered me, however I will revise the frequency of applying AS303 on it moving forward, like once per year. I use AS303 for the protection rather than the sheen look.
