Are there any other dash kits for replacing the headunit? I see metra's silver kit which is really nice, but I think for what I'm looking to do a black one would fit better.

I've seen pics of a black one, but can't seem to find out who made it or where to get it?

Side note, when I put an android headunit in the nav spot, i'm looking to make the old headunit area into storage since it has a door that covers it. No one seems to make double DIN storage, so I might get a buddy of mine to 3d print this if I can't find anything:

best as I can tell, the metra is the only it still in production. Worse case scenario I'll just paint it and the 3d printed shelf black so they match perfectly, or wrap them.

 

Pretty sure you're correct on the Metra kit. I looked for black a few months ago and couldn't find one. Put it in silver because I lack patience.
