Alternator replacement electrical issues
Hello friends I have a 2002 and yesterday replaced the alternator with a 130 that matched the old alternator. The electrical is now mostly dead, yet I'm able to drive seemingly with more power than I've had in the past. There is a lower front passenger light under the glove box that was never functional, is now, also working are the hazard blinkers and the middle headlight switch point turns on the high beams and front lights,n but not the rear lights.
Most is not working: all gauges, blinkers, lights and rear brake lights, the top, all the panel console things are dead no tilt wheel, horn, gas cap, trunk switch, abs, power steering. I'm suspecting a a cable interrupt something isn't connected versus fuses. Alernator itself was rewired exactly how it was taken off. Thoughts and Suggestions? Much thanks.

I am just guessing here, but there are multiple fuse boxes in the car. I wonder if one of those boxes is not getting power, which is why so many things don't work.
Pull out your owner's manual and see if one of the boxes control most of those features.

Thanks. Good idea. Not 100 percent at initial look-see. Will formally check that.
Ok, all fixed. The 140amp "alternator charging system" fuse, located in the box next to the battery under the hood was blown. I could only locate a 120 so put that in and all is picture perfect again. I suspect during the first run alternator replacement where I attempted the first gen 100 amp alternator it blew. I tell you, that fuse is GØd for all but the engine in that car...
