Default Mirror Backup Cam with Dash Recording

Finally took the plunge. I like it a lot. Gives you front and rear dash cam recording for your protection plus backup cam functionality.

Camera location (I used Velcro instead of screwing into bumper)

I will also mention, the unit features parking guard. Detects if the car is hit while parked and records immediately. Also crash detection and voice recognition. You can also turn on the screen saver so the screen will go blank and acts like a normal reflecting mirror.

Wow, impressive!

I actually bought 2 sets of the rear camera video (through an apple app - via blue tooth) months ago for about the same price a set. Was planning on installing on the SC and IS or RX, but they are still sitting on a shelf yet to be installed, what a shame!

And now we have both front and rear camera option. I need to get off my *** and install mine, this is no excuse. Since I used my birthday money from my kids, hence the wifey does not care...

Seriously I need to get off my behind...this downtime C19 has made lazy on car work. However I have done a lot of housework DIY...

It's a bit of a pain to run the wires but end result is worth it.

This setup looks sweet! Can you share some info on how you routed from the mirror to the back seat? I'm assuming down the a-pillar and back under the plastic next to the door sill plates?

Correct, there is a plug under the back of the car that I used to enter the trunk. Take the license plate off and you can go through the hole behind the plate. You wire it up for the reverse lights to automatically switch to backup mode when in reverse.

Thanks! I have one on order and plan to get it setup in the near future. Really not looking forward to pulling all the trunk and rear seats apart, but having a backup camera will surely make it worth it.

Having dash recording is important as well.

Where did you find this and how much did it cost with the rear view camera mounted on the license plate?
