Wait or the old "while you're in there"...

just replaced my foam surround on my l/s 6x9 . I ordered the 5 speaker makeover from Simply Speakers. The 6x9 is done but the mid sized seems okay. I think i know the answer to this question BUT should i pull apart the mid and refoam with the new one or wait until it becomes a problem?

That is a tough one. If you have already pulled the panels? Do it now. If the panels are in place and you know they are good. No problem. Wait.

Thanks Paul

ya, they're apart and i know i probably should do them. I don't recall hearing of any problems with the mids. I've heard a lot about the 6x9's and the woofer but thought the mids were good. As i'm writing this i'm thinking that maybe the smaller round ones are for the speakers in the rear seats.Hmm. Any body know the size of those? All i did was order the full kit thinking i'd have the 6x9's and the woofer covered but never really gave any thought of whether the ' other 2 foams' were for the doors or the rear.
I will say this to any body thinking of getting the kits from SS: the glue they provide sets up REAL quick so do a couple of dry fits and be ready once you lay down the bead of glue.

I just went on the SS website and it states that the 5'' surrounds are for the rears.
Never hurts to read instructions.Preferably before.

The front 6x9s, the rear 5in and the sub are the speakers with the foam issues.

In my case, I replaced the foam on the subwoofer. The Rear speakers were ok. The Fronts, I replaced with 6.5" (?) Round ones (had to use a mounting board.
