05 diecast impulse buy
 

Just browsing last night and came across a small 1/43 scale in the same year and color as my car, appears to be a Japanese’s model but still how could I resist haha

I don’t know when white gold was discontinued or when this premium white pearl color started being used but I think they used it on this model because it was made in 2016, thinking maybe it did not exist in 2005

So it appears that although this diecast looks great, the color identification is incorrect for 05.... unless it was available in Japan at that time

Please tell where you got it! Any more clues as to a mfr, or source in NY from the box? Does the top work? That is OK, I would leave it down next to the beer.

I found it on eBay, manufacture is Kyosho, there was one more identical one on there but for some reason they had 136 on it... which is kinda weird since that’s triple the price of similar units, I got this one for 30 plus 8 shipping, I don’t think the top comes down but I’ll share when it arrives

I have two 1/18 scale models, both are 2002, the red is top down and the black is top up. I’m looking for the scale model with operable top. I’ve seen one at our club member’s display show case. I’ve been searching EBay and Amazon but have not located one. Anyone find the source, please let me know. Thanks.

I also have the 1.18 scale with everything opening except for the top. The brand is Maisto and you can get it with top off. I think it's referred to as the Special edition. The company is in California. Price $60, and $64 delivery.

I have their red topless version sitting on my desk at work. I've been asked more than once if it was my dream car... I always smile and say that I have a blue one sitting in my garage at home :) Of course on a nice day I get to say I have a blue one sitting in the parking lot waiting for me :)
