radio door does not shut
Everything was working fine until I removed the console cover. when I put the cover back the radio door did not work. when I looked under the cover I saw a small plastic connector connector which was hanging around. I could not see where the connector attached to. I think it came off of the box in back of the button that activates it. but I cannot see where it attached to.

at about 1:45 in the video, he shows the two connections on the back. The first is for the lighter, the second is for the door. The door switch is removed from the shifter cover but it is not disconnected from power.
make sure the switch is physically moving...it could be something else...we will help you later, if required.

I just watched the video. I found it very informing. I can see the little clip with the wires came off the push button switch. Thanks for the speedy comeback.

.....I got something that caught me by surprise the other day.....my nav door hasn't been working for a long time, nor has the tilt function for the screen. The other day I was cleaning the leather & accidently hit the tilt button, the screen moved forward. I tried it again & it tilted more....lol....well I got it out to the farthest setting, now it won't go back in & the door still doesn't work........now I'm just curious, as to what my issue might be. I was thinking motors possibly, but do the motors that tilt the screen, open the door also ? I tried putting it back on track, but was unsuccessful or didn't do it correctly...lol

if it won’t tilt back, it will need to be taken apart.

I hardly open up my Screen anymore. I use WAZE for GPS so I have a magnetic mount for my Iphone. And I use Bluetooth for my music, Spotify. And Waze has Spotify on the app. So I have a British lady on my GPS and music is cut off when she speaks...

my radio door stopped working in the 2007. It was the connector on the switch also. There is a zip tie that holds the wires against a plastic pin but if the wires get pulled too much, the connector will move and loose connection with the switch.

My radio door also stopped working. The small oval button was missing but an inserted screwdriver
operated the switch and opened the door until that stopped working. I found the cig lighter also
was not working - and then found that a blue15 amp fuse at the bottom of the middle column in
the passenger footwell fuse box controlled both. Now fixed but need to replace the button,
which is attached to the switch and a couple of wires, for about $120.

So if the stereo door is not working, first check the cig lighter, then the fuse.
