The Color TigerEye
Is the paint color on the 2006 SC 430 called TigerEye more Brown or more Copper or Bronze?

No one has ever seen a SC 430 painted in the color TigerEye and has an opinion on how you would categorize the color? Is it more Brown, more Copper or Bronze? If no one has ever seen one than that color must be vary rare.

I've seen a couple when I lived in Texas. I would say it is closer to a metallic brown but similar to root beer. in sunlight, it also can have a real amber color. wouldn't think copper or bronze imo. I don't think it is a very common color.

I've seen a couple. There's a member here that has one if he still is on the forum and if he still has the car. A lot of us just nicked named it root beer because it very well resembles that color. It is a very nice color and is fairly rare.

I can see why you call it root beer

Thanks guys. I have my eye on an 06 that is that color but had never seen one up close and just was not sure if that was the color I wanted to go with. Although the DW says she like it. Will show her this picture when she gets home.

I'd also add that if you want a color that stands out, this would be a good choice. Especially on a sunny day it is almost a brilliant metallic effect.

The color is as you described. I think it looks its best in bright sunlight where metallic has almost a gold/bronze color.
I think it looks it’s worst in the rain where it’s a dull brown.
However, at night it can be several colors. It can look black or even a candy red under certain street lights.
It’s funny. I thought people would love the car and hate the color. More people seem to love the color and not the car.

My 2008 Tiger Eye Mica
My 2008 Tiger Eye Mica with 55k miles is the spitting image of the stock photo. FYI, my rear spoiler had faded and when JM Lexus installed a new factory spoiler it came pre-painted identical in color to the trunk

If you follow this link: http://importarchive.com/lexus/sc/2002-2010/paint
Then scroll down to TIGEREYE paint code. There are several photo examples of the car in different lighting conditions. However, it looks like it’s the same 2006 Pebble Beach car.
