Since some of the members including myself sometimes post when a particular motor oil promotion is active under other thread titles, I thought this may deserve a thread of its own so that members can notify the forum when certain cost saving promotions and/or rebates become available. This is not a motor oil brand specific thread, but in this first post it happens to apply to Mobil 1 synthetic motor oil. Below are two promotions that may be of interest to other members:
$12 rebate for purchasing a 5-quart Mobil 1 Full Synthetic/High Mileage Motor Oil. I generally use this rebate at Walmart. The high mileage Mobil 1 is currently on sale for $22 and change for a 5-quart container, so this brings the price down to about $10 or $2/quart. You can fill out the rebate online, after purchasing, which only takes a few minutes. Promotion ends on October 31, 2018.

Unfortunately Walmart is not on the "participating" list....most of the participants are selling at $40+ and there is some savings with rebate but it's cheaper at Walmart without the rebate at Approx. $22+.............

He posted another sale about six months ago and Walmart wasn’t on the list at that time but I submitted the paperwork and they paid the rebate.

You are correct Walmart is not listed, but does participate in this promotion. I've used it many times in the past for purchases at Walmart. This promotion generally comes out twice a year. Below is link to "Slickdeals" where I usually find this promotion and in comment section, posters address Walmart not being listed, but say they do particpate:
It took me all of five minutes to turn in my rebate online, so if there is a problem with Walmart I will let the forum know, but I've never run into a problem in the past.

I stopped at the AAFES store on my way home from work today.
they matched the WalMart price, $22.88 and no tax.
