Default New Wheels

I found these wheels and tires on craigslist and need a little help.
Will t wheels fit on my 08 sc430 OK?
Will I need centering rings? new lug nuts?
I have techstream but I think I would need ID codes of TPMS, to program correct?

Enkei PF01 18x9 +45 5x114.3
Michelin pilot super sport - 245/40/18 - approx 70% tread remaining
TPMS sensor - universal

Thanks for your input

Don't know about centering rings but be prepared that you need to get it. Best guess is you will need lug nuts because it is unlikely the OEM Lexus lug nuts will have the exact same seat as what your new after market rims need. I am using 18x8 TSW nurburgring rims with a 35 offset and I do have hubcentric rings and I needed acorn seat lugs, not flat seat lugs like OEM.

The bolt pattern looks right so now your issue is will the 9 width be too wide given OEM is 8. Not sure until you mount it but I suspect you have a decent chance of success.

Default Lexus Rims are designed for the car and a safer bet in reliability and resale

Lexus vehicles have a precise and sensitive suspension making it extremely important that any wheel you put on is hub-centric.
Lexus vehicle suspension is designed for the lightweight OE alloy wheels not heavier aftermarket steel wheels or Chinese cast alloys
Lexus wheels use flat seat wheel nuts. There are almost zero aftermarket wheel brands that work with flat seat wheel nuts.
Lexus wheels use the same diameter center cap size so OE Lexus wheel caps will fit.

There are so many Lexus OE wheels out there to suit different tastes I decided to stay in the family when I upgraded for all of the above reasons. Also, when selling the car it is a key point to be able to say everything is LEXUS so everything is high quality and will work forever.

Just sayin...

I agree with your comments generally. However:

Most factory SC430 wheels of those dimensions or close to them weigh about 28 lbs. The Enkei PF01s weigh less than 20lbs. They are made in Japan to a very high standard. Some versions are used on factory race sports cars such as Ferrari, I believe.

I believe the SC can only use the SC TPMS sensors. I think that since they were one of the first cars to have TPMS, the standard still wasn't agreed upon. So I think you will have to get new sensors.

1. I'm pretty sure that will fit
2. You need a Set of Hub Centric Rings 60.1x75mm & a set of 60degree (cone seat) M12x1.5.
3. I'm not so sure about this one but since your car is an 08, you can't just unplug the TPMS system so you can take those sensors from the current wheels and put them in the new wheels if the "universal TPMS" doesn't work.

Just removed the exact Michelin Pilot SS from our 08 sc430.

Same 70% unworn.

noisy. Hard ride. Don’t

went to 45’ series’s mxm4’s. Much better.

my understanding is the oem rims are heavier not lighter.
