best option for audio system
hello everyone just purchased a sc430 2002 triple black and i love it. only thing is the sound system doesn't sound the way it should. what have you guys done? foam repair kit? upgraded speakers? lemme know what y'all recommend. i would like to just do foam repair but is it worth it or should i just install new door speakers while i have the door panel off. thanks in advance.

I replaced my head unit, but kept the ML amp and GPS integration. My speakers were OEM replaced under warranty. I posted an extensive DIY on my upgrade. If you’re not replacing the amp, you need to be cognizant of the ohms impedance for the speakers.

right on thanks bob, im gonna go with aftermarket head unit and just do the repair on the door speakers. it will be nice to have bluetooth capability.

gonna do my second radio, beat sonic, camera and mic install very soon.
i just don’t know what radio I want to use this time. My first was the Pioneer AVH-X5700BHS. It’s a nice radio and allows some apps like Waze on the radio screen. It also plays a movie on the NAV screen while you can control different screens on the radio.
