Hi Natroth,
I have come to really like the look and stance these rims put to the SC. So, I have followed your lead. A few questions for you if you don't mind. When you put these rims on, did you just transfer the TPMS to the rims? Have you had any negative trade offs since installing? Lastly, did it mess with your speedometer? Thank you so much Natroth!

Some answers:
I put new TPMS sensors in the rims as they didn't have any, all connected with no problem
I checked the speedometer against my GPS at varying speeds and nothing has changed. The tyre guys said it wouldn't as the larger rim is offset by the lower profile tyre
The car sits about 1/2" higher front and rear but is only noticeable if you park next to another SC430. At high speeds (140kph+) the car still sucks down to the road so no stability concerns.
The larger wheel fits the arches much better and, as they are Lexus rims, require no spacers or different lug nuts

Natroth,
Again, thanks for the information and I shamelessly stole your rim idea! Just got them on today. Although, I don't think you have to worry about me parking next to you as we have an ocean in between.

Thanks again
Pete

The two-tone rims complement/contrast with the black colour perhaps a bit better than my gold. I am keen to hear that your experience with the wheels is neutral or positive to the overall driving experience, as mine has been. They just need a few more minutes each wheel when washing due to the pattern complexity but that is a labour of love so no pain

Natroth - you are so right and actually the car is very dark green which seems to compliment the dark grey on the rims. The fit with the offset, size and stagger are great. You chose well! The ride is far better coming out of those run flats. Thank you for the idea and time.

I know this is an old thread but I want to put a set of these on my 2007. Anyone have a good source for new or reconditioned (gotta be like new, no blems or curb rash)? I believe the Lexus part # is 552789 or 74209 in Hypersilver from a 2014-16 IS350. Want a set of 18X8" all around and not the staggered set with 8.5" rears. Ebay has some but not a set. BTW regarding post 21 in this thread: Those wheels look GREAT on Bgw70's ride!!

Agreed, this are great looking wheels on an SC! I was looking for some myself, but then changed my thinking. Changing wheels is a great opportunity to lighten the unsprung weight of the suspension and improve ride, comfort, performance and feel. I ended up going with lightweight Enkei RPF1's and saved almost 10lbs per wheel. Enkei manufactured my original G Spider wheels, so I was surprised they were so heavy. My understanding is Enkei makes a lot of wheels for Lexus, so you aren't giving up quality to switch. Good luck finding what you want!

The correct stock # for these wheels is actually 74290 and they appear to be difficult to find in a set of 4 either refurbished or new! I’m patient and will continue the search.
