Key door lock on driver's side won't work.
My new/used 2003 SC is like my little dog leaving me little gifts sometimes. Seems like it likes to demand attention by breaking something every other day. Went out yesterday and my automatic door lock would not open the driver's side door but the left was Ok. Watching it it seems to stay a little stuck? Any ideas to fix, too cold, still asleep, or costly to repair.

It sounds like the motor on your door lock actuator is dying or died. There is a thread about replacing it here:

Read the entire thread as there are instructions & pictures on how to go about it.

WOW! That is a lot of help! I am afraid that may be a bit over my pay level and putting the key in the lock might seem like a good option right now. Can’t thank you enough for that information!

Yes, you do still have the option to manually unlock the door.
I will tell you that the effort and skill required to replace (or repair) the motor are up there but no where near the scale of rebuilding an engine. I suspect that a dealer or a shop would charge about $150 in parts to replace the entire actuator assembly and probably $200 to $300 in labor but that is just a wild guess. Good luck and let us know how what you wind up doing.

Update: Finally jumped car and did not use battery charger and the car started. Found old repair docs and battery has to be dying a slow death. After jumping the car, the driver side door lock decided to work. Yippee! You guys are the best!!!

That's great news. I'm glad that a new battery resolved your issues. A low battery could definitely affect the door lock actuator, though it could also be an indicator that the actuator motor is getting weak. (Just be aware, if it starts having trouble unlocking when it is hot and been in the sun, then it will be time to replace the actuator motor.)
Congratulations.
Congratulations.
