Sorry to beat a dead horse, but this topic has been raised previously but it was a little ambiguous. Bottom line after reading the thread below on the topic-Struts are available for the front and back 2006 SC430 from Lexus, The Park Place Lexus website indicates each front strut is $206 . And, $240 each for the rear struts. $892 parts alone prior to labor. After reading the headaches to get a rear strut to fit, it appears that if you want an OEM part, there is no commercial equivalent to the Lexus part.
Some folks talk about the KYB for GS300 for 2005, but, will it fit the 2006?
Is there any available off the shelf that FOR SURE, will fit the front for 2006 ? How about the rear struts. Is there any discount Toyota equivalent?
Has anyone been successful in finding quality parts that dont have to be cut?

2005 Front schocks are not compatible with 2006 shocks. The GS300 shocks will not work on the 2006 model.
I am going with Lexus front and rear shocks. KYB strut mounts.

Can you tell me how many miles you have on your car to warrant the new shocks? I have 54k on my 2006 and wondering if I should start loading up the piggy bank for it.

the last 9 years have had only 5-7k miles per year and only local , non pot hole driving. The car has 109k on it. The left rear shock leaks oil. The function of leaks or no leaks may also be time and deterioration of seals, not just miles. Good luck.you just may want to have shocks checked at each oil change.
