Will Lexus Dealer Install used parts?
If we purchased used parts in working order, will Lexus Install the part, or does the part have to be new? Only thing I do know is they would not guarantee failure, etc. Anybody have Lexus /dealer instal a part you purchased used?
Thanks

they are open right now, then let us know what they say.

LOL -- my kids consider calling an app on their iPhone that is never used. An if you are going to use it -- for some bizarre reason -- you better text first and make sure its okay to call.

its funny how our kids view calling...my son, 23, will use the phone but certainly prefers to text. Before he joined the military and still at home, his text messages were always 10 times as many as mine and his talk minutes were 20% compared to mine.

I am willing to bet that Lexus will say no. But we all want to hear what they say.

Perhaps if you brought in a sealed Toyota part, fully traceable serial number, you can stand a chance of getting an OK, we will install it. If you were thinking of bringing in a used part, chances are slim that they will touch it.

Answer to my Question
mandyfig is correct if part is new sealed, etc..Lexus will install. I did call the Dealer, Asked the Service Manager If I already purchased used Lexus part, would they Install, answer yes, but that is a one off exception. Other good news since car is over 10 years old we get 20% off Parts and Labor!

Might want to get a price quote the job from them first. I brought in brand new Lexus parts in the bag with part numbers and they would install the parts but quoted me an outrageous price. Wanted the 2 motor mounts, rear transmission mount and both lower control arms replaced. Dealer price was $1,705 for the labor, plus front end alignment. Ended up doing it at my friends shop ( on the lift ) in 3 hours, including an oil change. Still had to get the alignment done at the dealer. They must use special gold plated tools to get $550.00 an hour...
