Just wondering if the SC430 exhaust system is stainless steel?

Yes, but there's many grades of stainless steel too. Not all stainless steel is corrosion proof.

I was under the impression only the tips are stainless. Not the entire muffler, resonators, pipes, etc.

lit is, it's just not the same grade and polished like the tips. I'm guessing the tip are 304, while the exhaust is 409 stainless. Think back to the 80's and before. Exhausts would rust out depending on environment as quickly as a couple of years. They were made from cold steel and or steel aluminum alloys, they rusted fairly easily.

Most exhaust systems are made of stainless these days. The SC is not unique.

The base material undergoes Zinc pre-treatment for ultimate corrosion protection.
