Looks great. Every time someone posts photos of their new wheels I cringe at the sight of my dinner plates. I've got to get around to replacing them...

Re the Soarer badging: Did you replace the "L" on the trunk with a griffin emblem, like on your grill? I looked into doing this some time ago, but without actually getting my hands on one, I couldn't tell how well it would fit over the emtpy oval recess where the "L" used to be. If you've got one on your trunk, I'd love to see a pic. BTW, where did you get the Soarer stuff?

How come SC430 guys in the US want to add Soarer badges and the guys in Japan want to add Lexus badges ?

It was same when I had my NSX......lots of folks were adding Honda emblems here and overseas they were turning them into Acuras.

Just curious, don't mean to offend.

Larry ...

>How come SC430 guys in the US want to add Soarer badges and the guys in Japan want to add Lexus badges ?<

I think it's just the idea of being different. I debadged my trunk lid (as you did) and removed the logo from the grill only because I like the clean unfettered look. Just to be different, I'd seriously think of replacing the logo on the rear with the griffin (griffon, gryphon) if it fit properly. But I still don't want anything on the grill.

Eagerly awaiting the answer to fletch's question .....

The main reasons is exactly what 1NICESC430 said is to be different. I didn't go hogwild and change to Toyota badges. I simply changed the grill to the griffin and changed where it said SC430 to Soarer and removed the L E X U S in the rear. the L still remains.

The most I would do now is put the griffins on the backs of the seats as they are in Japan, but I would not do full Toyota badging.

Thanks for the ocmments guys

Thanks for the info, DPRSupra. Putting griffins on the seat back never occured to me -- now I'm intrigued. So where did you get the Soarer stuff?
