My wife and I retired a little more than a year ago. We had 3 RV's while our kids grew up - we know the lifestyle. In retirement, we decided we loved to travel, but staying in hotels (with maid service!) is much preferable to RV living. So then we thought HOW to travel. After considering plane, train, bus (?), motorcycle (I own a Valkyrie), RV or car. Having had a few convertibles over the years, we settled on finding a hardtop convertible. We looked and drove the Volvo C70, BMW i335, Mercedes, VW, Pontiac G6 and, of course, the Lexus SC430. Obviously, we opted for the SC. We've completed one trip and have plans for two more soon. So.....to answer how we drive our SC = we use it all the time! We'll take good care of this one (expecting it will outlast us), but if need be, we'll find another SC. We have been bowled over with the smoothness, power, comfort, handling (after all, this is not autocross :-) ). We love the look. We love the convertible convenience. We love the internal belief that we bought the best built of the bunch - reliability! I can only drive moderately when my wife is in the car, but even then, we search out the best drives (twistys and scenery). But when I get the chance to drive alone, I'm not bashful about pushing it. It handles adequately, but considering the comfort, style and power, it beats the competition handily.

I drive my SC430 everyday and still get tremendous joy from it. Living in FL gives me lots of chances to drive top down. She's turning 180K miles
