How many SC430's are remaining?
It would be interesting to know how many of our SC430's are left after all these years. In a few more years the early ones will be classics (over 20 years old) .

Good question! I'm not sure but I'm keeping mine lol. I had to go all the way to Palm Beach, Florida to get it. SC430s are in short supply here in Raleigh, NC and the ones I do find for sale in good condition are at a premium. It cost me a total of $11,800 to purchase and ship my 2002 with 104k to NC. Today there is one just like mine on CraigsList with 117k going for $13,800. That's $2k over what I bought mine for just last week.

I bought mine in 2011, $19K at 92K miles, if I remember straight.

Hi Johnny I now have 7773 miles . Comes out of storage April 28 figure if weather good I might be able to get it to 9000 miles before winter. But I doubt it . Haha

Knowing how many SC430's are left can help in determining the collectibility of our cars. The prices are determined by how many there are and how many people are looking for them. It appears from the info on the internet there were about 72,000 units sold . The 2007-2010 are much more rare as the numbers sold dropped dramatically as sales dropped off. The Pebble Beach editions were limited to around a few thousand total (a few hundred each year). The prices have appeared to stop dropping and maybe even rising. The dealerships are always looking for used SC's. That tells you something about the demand and supply. Maybe some of you may have some more exacting figure or info to input.

well ,cars are generally never a good " investment "
But I have owned 4 SC's and I don't think I have ever lost any
money when I sold them but most of my SC I owned was prestine
With low mileage with no previous paint work .
My current SC is White and that was the color I really wanted
I think White is one of the most sought after color . I was close
to buying an 07 PB but I learned the door was repainted
and that kill the deal for me.
White is nice but once it is repainted , it never matches

Not true, they are called Lexus here in Australia as well. The only difference is that they are Right hand drive. The total amount delivered to Australia between 2001 & 2010 were 695 in total. How many remaining, I don't know.

Driving this car around town with the top down is weird for me because we get so much positive attention (i'd much rather be unnoticed) but for me it is a powerful demonstration of how desirable this car is. These cars are so unique and there is nothing to replace it that is remotely as reliable and comfortable. I think the big thing going forward is how expensive the cars are to keep in working condition. Hopefully there were enough built that parts remain available via Lexus or from salvage yards for a long time. Mine is no spring chicken - 2004 white with a perfect saddle interior, and materials particularly rubber and plastics on the exterior are aging, but it has less than 30 k miles, and is relatively pristine inside and out. I personally don't see ever selling mine unless something major like the top breaks that I cannot repair due to not finding parts.
