Brake Master Cylinder Internal Leak
Few days ago diagnosed with a local mechanic that my 2003 SC430's BMC is leaking internally. The units online are $320+ and I was wondering if there's a way to fix it, maybe with an overhaul kit? Has anyone done this before? Also, mechanic says ~$300 to install it, which is almost as much as a part itself, so I was looking for DIY. I appreciate any help or advice! Thanks!

Here is my painful story with a beautiful ending!
changing the MC was easy, finding a reasonably priced one was a different story.

I read that one, you got really lucky So you would recommend to rather buy a whole unit and not mess up with trying to repair it, especially if I don't know what I'm doing? Also, any specific steps that are required, like bleeding BMC, bleeding the brakes etc that I can find DIY for? Thanks!

i thought it was easy to change it and would say the level of difficulty is about a 5 of 10.
if I remember correctly, you will need...
sockets
box end wrenches
line wrenches
universal type extensions or knuckle joint
brake bleeding knowledge or watch a few YouTube videos.
the process to bleed brakes in this car is different than others, but the concept is still the same.
Here are the results of a search for brake bleeding on the SC430.

Thanks, I appreciate it! My unit is already on the way, it's from 2005 SC430 with fewer than 46k miles on it, the car was rear ended and totalled, so I guess the unit is still in great shape.
I'm going to change the unit myself and I followed the link and it says that there are no results for this search
