Default Top fully closed trunk front trunk latches

Well I was dumb and began opening the top with the car off. I already have a luggage tray that sometimes needs help. I started the car about half way through the procedure and everything reset. I was able to get it all closed back up and the top latched manually. The trunk lid fron latches are closed, but not latched. This gives an error and won't let the roof move powered at all. How do I manually reset the latches. The cable only manually opens them.

Thanks,
Ernie

The image is from ebay but shows the latch location

There are instructions in your owner's manual about how to manually shut the roof when a failure occurs. Check it out. (Or do a search on this forum, I believe that JohnnyCake has published the instructions a couple of times in the past.)

I have fully followed both the short and long versions of manual roof operation. It's all locked up except these latches. I'm pretty sure the motors need overridden to put them in the lock position. The manual unlock pulls don't do anything because the motors already have it unlocked

thanks
Ernie

I would try disconnecting your battery. I think when you reconnect it, the system will reset in order to learn which position each part is in.
