SC430 Weather tech floor mats or equal or mod suggestions
Hello everyone,
Just got my wife her first 2007 SC430 Grey with Saddle interior. She loves the car but some questions many have had on this forum.
Best back up camera to install?
We like keeping the car factory is that possible and install a back up camera?
Also where can you get weather tech deep molded floor mats for this car? Weather tech says they don't make them any longer.
What is the mod to have a remote to drop the top, windows and start the car remotely?
Any other suggestions?

As far as back up camera, if properly done it looks and functions just like a factory one and you cannot even tell its there. I have attached the pictures of my installation. This is probably the most useful mod for the SC430.
The remote top is probably the coolest mod for SC430. As far as I am aware no other hardtop convertible can do this trick. You can get it done either with Luxlink or Viper. Just youtube it you will find all examples.
Congrats on your new car and good luck with the mods!

Lux links are long discontinued. I dug up one recently. Good luck.

Actually, there are still plenty of Luxlinks available, though they may not be the latest version. I recently bought one and had it installed at Steve's place. I have been very pleased with its performance and use it almost daily. (Six times already today as its 80 degrees outside here in southern Ca.)
The latest version of Luxlink may be harder to find but you will pay a premium for it because it adds remote start and quarter window control. All versions of Luxlink can operate the remote top flawlessly, which is the most unique feature among hardtop convertibles.
Of course, you can always go Viper route which can even integrate with your smart phone. Regardless, finding a knowledgeable installer will be your greatest challenge.

no weather tech
Just sharing my thoughts about the floor mats. I just bought weather tech mats and cargo liner for my RX350 from the local dealership because they were about the same price as buying online (without shipping). I was disappointed with the fit of both because the cargo liner was about 2" from the sides and the front mat did not exactly follow the edges of the floor. The person working at the dealer parts counter on this day said he would not recommend weather tech but advised me to try the OEM Lexus mats and liner, which ended up being $106 cheaper! I am much happier with the fit and the price.
