If you purchased your SC430 recently, how much did you pay?

I think Lexus recommends TB change at 90k miles or 7 years. I personally think 7 years is too short of an interval with low miles in normal driving conditions. But the TB belt is rubber/fabric/kevlar mix and it does age over time just from heat and oxidation so I personally will not go more than about 12-13 years on the belt...other smart folks may have differing opinions. .

What I have found
I started casually looking at SC's last February after seeing one....thinking that would be a nice second car. Decided on an 07 or 08...was watching prices and educating myself...then the closer to spring the cars were going for 3-5k more than before. Could have been just the asking price and not the selling price. Now I am getting close to being in position to buy one and I am hoping prices are dropping a little. Anybody else notice price swings by the time of the year....or just an anomaly?
I am looking at cars with less than 60k miles.

With the everyday cars, I don't think it makes any difference with price when you sell. However, with Classic Cars & Convertibles I think it does, especially in places where you get snow.
If you buy heading in the snow time of the year, all you're going to be doing is storing for the next 5 months or whatever. Best time to buy for a good deal is in Autumn.
Best time to sell for a good price I think is in the Spring.

The market definitely has undulations in price for convertibles based on seasons. Even in the Houston market. During the winter months there is always thirty some for sale. Through the summer it hovers around sixteen. That supply and demand changes what they can be sold for.
I just last week bought a convertible in Denver. The car salesman says it's the wrong time of the year to by a convertible. My reply was " it's the right time of the year to pay less for one". And I did pay about three thousand less that what they were going for a couple months ago. This was on a 20015 model.

I have a 2008 with 69K miles for sale if anyone interested
I have a 2008 SC430 with 69K miles if anyone is interested. Have been asking $28500, but am open to reasonable offer Smokey Granite Mica with what I call Camel interior. My wife and I also have a 2002 SC430 Black on Black, and bought this to replace it, but after I flew to Texas, bought it and drove it home, my wife likes the Black on Black color combo better. I also got rid of the original wheels and replaced with some GS350 wheels that really make it "pop" Car is in EXCELLENT CONDITION. I am in Ft Payne, AL, and may be able to drive/deliver it depending on where. I am NOT a dealer...this is a private sale. I drove it almost 1000 miles back from Dallas to Ft Payne Alabama, and the car is as near perfect as a 2008 car can be. My name is Jerry and my number is 256-996-3879. Make me an offer I can't refuse, I do not need 2 SC's right now.

My search ended this week with 2007 Pearl White and 119k miles. The car is clean inside and out, has never had any accident or major repair according to Autocheck, Carfax and Lexus service record. It was CPO at 68k miles when second owner bought it. I paid $12,900 with tax and everything.

Congratulations, & the price is good. Even though I don't care for the White exterior, I do like the White interior. To me it's a welcoming color.
My SC is Silver external with Black interior but I would have preferred White or Red.

The price is KBB price for private seller. I already have a LX570 that is also pearl white. So I was hoping to find some other color, but with used cars you get what you can find. I would also prefer to have another leather color. I think white interior is actually trickier to maintain than the others since it shows dirt and wear a lot easier than the rest.

Congrats on your purchase. Good luck on keeping the white clean.
