If you purchased your SC430 recently, how much did you pay?

I bought my Silver Lex in February for $14k, 49500 miles. I am the 3rd owner, No wrecks. not many stone chips. Beautiful Chrome wheels have a little rust from road salt. I can't believe the previous owner did not wash off (near Cincinnati) . Replaced timing belt immediately along with tires and rear rotors. I just replaced 5 year old battery today. Wish I had a backup camera! I would love to hardwire a radar to the mirror . any help would be appreciated. its Silver with light cream interior.
Traveled to the eclipse in August

[QUOTE=GmanSC;9909232]Welcome to the club. You'll like this place. Backup Cam, interior LEDs, DRL leds are the things that I've done in mine.[/QUOTE
I had an after market back up and front camera put in. No lines unfortunately so a little hard to tell exactly how far to park forward and park backward. Maybe there is something better out there.

The guy that put them in said they don't make any after market front & back-up cameras with the distance lines. If you know of where I should look, please let me know. Thanks!

Hi everybody..
I purchased my SC430 2 weeks ago. 2003 Millenium silver ecru leather. 146000 miles one owner serviced by same dealer entire life all recommended service was completed. Detailed by the dealer 3 times. Looks new. All speakers work. Drives like new.
$9500
I enjoy reading about how the forum members love their SC. I have had and wanted soooo many cars in my life. I have driven everything from a 71 Boss 351 Mustang to a 56 Desoto Fireflight with an occasional 67 MGB and a 59 Belair thrown in. Harleys..... all kinds of stuff. Thought I wanted a 63 porsch or a 57 corvette. Even thought I wanted a Jaguar at one time. The biggest want was a 57 chevy of course.
Until now I went 20 years driving Tauruses and havent had any type of a sports car in that time.
I wanted this car since I saw it on a used car lot in 2004. In 1984 I stumbled on a 67 MGB for $1750.00. I was stupid and sold it for the 59 Bel Air. I started thinking about buying another sports car when one of my residents was selling his 1998 jaguar XJ8. It was then that I stumbled on a Jaguar forum much like this one that described the dynamic of purchasing a car nobody wants because it is to old and not old enough. I started thinking about how dependable my wifes corolla is and then remembered how much I liked the car that has that convertible hardtop, the SC. I began looking for that car. They were just out of reach. Some were amazing ,38000 miles $24000. I thought I might find a salvage for $7500.
I was looking for Egyptian sand ecru. I found a silver with black but it sold quick for $8500. I searched LA Craigslist and found silver ecru for $9500. It was in an unlikely place, Norco Ca. at a place called Norco Truck and auto barn. Just like 1984, a classic I could afford !! Cool almost local. My employee was going down to visit his family down in Orange county for Christmas so I bought the thing over the phone and I hitched a ride with him to take delivery.
I read your guys comments about the car. I had never driven one before. After I took delivery, I drove it 300 miles home. I cant believe this car. I just cant believe it. No it is not a Porsche or a Mercedes. Its allot of something else. Here comes the hate. The only time I will do this. The guy on Top Gear is an *******. This guy did me the biggest favor by trashing this car. Because of his wreck-less pompous comments, I can actually afford the car because so many people believed him. This is a classic for all the reasons the forums say it is. It is so much fun. I joined Lexus drivers and I found out about how it was serviced. I was trying to figure out if the timing belt had been replaced. I couldnt find it. Everything else from wipers to struts and speakers but no timing belt. Only drive belt. I called the sole Lexus dealer that serviced it and they dug around and found out the part was installed as part of the "90,000 service" Joy Joy Joy. I thought NOW I CAN ACTUALLY DRIVE IT FOR AWHILE. So happy. I asked the service writer "this was a girl who owned this isnt it?." The service writer wouldn't confirmed however latter in the conversation referred to her as a she.
Again I NEVER drove one of these until I brought it home and I can tell you there is no better stock stereo out there. Man I love this car.
I got the car some Blonde Thousand Oaks terminateor want to be owned. Pretty darn cool. I will never get rid of it and I will never feel bad about repairing it!!
Thank you all for talking it up so much so I could have the confidence to discover The most sensible and AWESOME sports car ever relentlessly perfected.!!!!!

Brucestave,
I'm glad you were interested in the Egyptian sand pearl although in the end you did not buy your car in this color. I think this is an underrated color, and is somewhat a color for women. My car is Egyptian sand pearl with saddle interior. It's easy to maintain and it shines too. My girlfriend absolutely loves it! Heck, a guy with a new LS at the gas station even locked his eyes on my car!
