Default Timing Belt

Just bought my 2006 sc430 with 15,500 miles. Should I replace the timing belt?

Continuing with preventative maintenance, thirteen year old car with 124,xxx miles. Another nice day and my friends lift was open. Replaced all three motor mounts and both front lower control arms. Local Lexus dealer quoted me $1705 in labor using the OEM parts I ordered previously. Done in three hours along with an oil change being as we removed the oil filter to gain better access to the drivers side engine mount.

The lower control arms were in pretty good shape with the rubber bushing intact. Rear transmission mount looked OK, too. Both engine mounts had a tear at the top of the rubber isolator and needed replaced. Overall the car runs smother with a more solid feel and better feedback from the front end.

Replaced the speaker foam in the passenger side 6x9 door speaker and subwoofer this weekend. Sounds amazing now. I was wondering why I wasn't getting much bass from the Mark Levinson stereo...now I know why.

Finally did the 90K service, but 25K late. The timing belt looked new, the water pump was not weeping but showed signs that it was going to. Used the Aisin AK-021 kit, plus Toyota PCV, thermostat and Stant gasket. Also installed new Denso plugs and radiator (Denso, only $81 on Amazon!). Also replaced the air filter and cabin filter (both were really filthy!). This was on our 06. I swear it feels quieter, stronger & quicker :-)

Did a thorough inspection and everything looks great - motor mounts, all bushings, control arms suspension. Front brakes are better than 50% and the rears about 30%. I've waxed it, treated all the leather, shampooed the carpet, treated all the seals and greased the top mechanism.

We're ready to head out on about a 5,000 mile road trip! So excited. Top will be down every minute it can be.
