Default LexBrett Leaving

Hey Guys,
After my accident it has been one grueling problem after another. Engine timing, radiator leak and replacement, leaking ac, broken o2 sensor housing wires, bad hid headlight ballast..

More recently- cracked charcoal canister, fried brake abs Ecu, bad shifter lights, nav door not closing..,, and finally, momentary loss of power which could literally be anything

I'm calling it quits and selling her at auction. Have learned tons in this forum and have appreciated everyone's help and wanted to say *thanks*

Will be selling all my aftermarket stuff soon so look for a post in that respective section..

Sad news. We will miss you. Perhaps you will find another SC430 and continue to enjoy one of the best cars ever made.

Also sorry to see you go LexBrett, though I can understand your frustration with your current vehicle. Hopefully, your next car will serve you well, though I suspect that you will eventually join some of the others that have left and returned to the SC430.

Sorry it went down hill for you. It's also a reminder of why an accident lowers the cars value. Back many moons ago I got hit in the back. It broke a couple of parts in the steering column. Not an airbag car nor did I hit the steering wheel. Body damage on my car was very limited. You just never know what can get damaged. It doesn't have to be anywhere near where the impact was. You'll have to show us what you got to replace it. Take care.

LexBrett, sorry to see you go. You had a huge run of bad luck and I know you did everything to try to breathe more life back into your SC. I can't imagine what you've gone through. Sorry, buddy. Good luck with whatever you choose to replace it. I'm sure you will mod it in classic fashion, too!

Thanks for the kind words. I will definitely miss everyone on this forum. Was planning to buy a gs350, but then my buddy sold me his mercedes c230 2005 kompressor for practically nothing. Planning to use that as my daily driver for a while. Not sure how much I will mod, but I have already added a sprintbooster and k and n air filter. It's fun to drive but not the classic beauty of the sc430. I just cannot keep dumping thousands of dollars in this car and have one thing after another go wrong..

And I promise to write a much more thorough goodbye before I actually depart. Want to write about all my projects and how much the CL community has helped :-)

Have to admit you all are a very helpful, fun, friendly group. The MB forum hasn't been nearly so helpful (or mechanical)..

HI Brett. I'm sorry to hear that but totally understand. Keep in touch and best of luck! Fantastic offer from Mr. Mark BTW - would be cool to simply go and see the 'art'
