G-Spider Rims for my 2002 SC430
Club Lexus friends, I just bought a very nice 2002 SC430, and have decided to replace the boring "pie-plate" rims with some of the nice G-Spider rims I've seen on some cars on the forum.
Can anyone confirm which size rim I would need to fit perfectly on my 2002? I see on Lexus Parts World that the G-Spiders come in two sizes: 18 x 8 (P/N 08457-30813) and 18 x 8.5 (P/N 08457-53811). The web site says the right size for SC430s is the 18 x 8 size, but I was hoping to confirm with others who have purchased this wheel that this is the one I want before I pull the trigger. I don't want a "staggered" setup, and I don't think I want/need to add spacers to have this wheel work perfectly with my 2002 (right?).
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

18x8 is standard for the SC430. Possible to go wider as well but depending on the wheel, some minor adjustments needed. I am now running 18x8 aftermarket TSWs and no issues at all.

Perfect! Thanks for the confirmation! I'm ordering the G-Spiders today from Lexus Parts World ($936 total with the Club Lexus discount).

That is a pretty decent price for G Spiders. Recently saw an older GS350 on G-Spiders and it looked really good. All SCs on G spiders look great. My aftermarkets are sort of G-spider wannabes (see pic) and I did not pay that much less than you so you are doing well. Pics when ready please ?

Love my G-Spiders
You will never regret your decision to get the G-Spiders! I'm so glad I drove to Ohio and picked mine up a while back. These wheels look so good on the SC and several other Lexus models.

The new Michelin Pilot Sport AS/3s will cost almost as much by themselves, which makes the rims seem like a great value.
The rims are due to arrive this Thursday and will be installed with new tires this Friday. I'll try to post some nice photos next weekend.
Thanks to all for the encouragement and photos of the G-Spiders!

I was actually very pleasantly surprised by the price for the OEM G-Spider rims! I really prefer to stick with Lexus branded wheels, and hadn't realized there was such a nice option available for my "new to me" SC430 until I saw the G-Spiders on a local SC for sale. I figured they'd be crazy expensive, but $936 I can live with!

Nice deal! Question on lug nuts
Hello, I have been a 2005 Blue with Saddle interior SC430 owner since 2010 and have had heart set on the G-Spyders for quite some time. Soon as i dump my silver oem 5 spoke i think i will go with the Sewell deal discount. I am new to this club and live in Florida. So, when going from the oem 5 spoke with star cover, basically same base wheel as the pie pan wheels and going to the G-Spyders, can the same Lug Nuts be used or did you use another size? Online i seen new oem sets of 20pcs for $19.00 both in the short and longer lenghts. So which one? James

You can use the same lug nuts for sure. However Sewell no longer deals with internet orders. You can still call them and you will get a deal, how good we do not know (they did say, they are still offering a GOOD deal). Just let them know that you are a CL member.

I've been eyeing these rims for awhile. I've checked Lexus Parts World and was not able to find those rims. Did ya have to call them up? Im down for dropping that kind of money on a set of g-spider rims

I bought my 2008 SC used, with factory chrome G-spyders in 2016. When the wheels were 12 years old, I sold them used for $650, so you are getting a great price on a new set!
The bad news: I got rid of them because they were so darn heavy, at about 27 lbs per wheel. I picked up a new set of Enkei RPF1 racing wheels that weigh in at about 22 lbs. The performance and comfort gains are very noticeable.

Which size RPF1 wheels did you go with?
