MandyFig - I second the combo of an SC and LS! I LOVE coming out in the morning and deciding between the two, depending on the weather and my mood... If it's warm and sunny, the SC always wins, but almost any other time I'm extremely happy to slip into the "sound-proof booth" that is the LS600hL!

The price of the LS460s (and LS600hLs) has dropped so far over the past couple of years that you can really score an amazing full-sized luxury car for the price of a good second-hand Camry! The SC rides nice and smooth, but my LS is in a whole different category, and the refinement and nearly silent whoosh of acceleration of the LS600hL is something to be experienced!

Life's too short to NOT own an SC and an LS! Go for it! Rick

Looked at quite a few when we bought our 2002. Knew it was the one as soon as we saw it. It was spotless and the "Absolutely Red" color shimmered. Never thought I would do red but this one was the one. Have received more compliments than any other car we've ever owned. I'm not advocating for red. I'm advocating for something that had been obviously cared for. The only other one we saw that we liked better was the Royal blue that a dealer was selling for a ridiculous price.

Now looking at all my possible options I can’t decide?

This is what I see on the market currently;

2002-2003 SC430 Base 15k – 40k miles, $20k - $24k

2005 SC430 Pebble Beach 45k miles, $23k

2006 SC430 Base 50k-60k miles, $20k- $24k

2008 SC430 Pebble Beach 100k miles $23k

So it comes down to questions like should I get the 2002 SC430 Base with 15k miles for $21k, or a 2008 Pebble Beach with 100k miles for $23k? Or maybe right in the middle with the 2005 Pebble Beach and 45k miles for $23k? Or a Base 2006 with around 60k miles for about the same price? Or anything in-between? See the dilemma I’m facing???

Anyway thanks in advance 
Without hesitation, I would get a 2006+ - if for nothing else than the tiptronic.

Man I looked at the prices and almost lost my mind, then I looked at the date of the post. LOL.

This is my first post so please forgive me if it is in the wrong place. Have never driven the car and plan on doing that hopefully soon. Have been driving MINI Coopers for many years and currently have a 202 S Countryman All4. Test drove a 2015 Z4 (had one in the past) and was not as thrilled as I thought I would be, a bit more agile and quicker but not a whole lot different than what I have. Came across this 07 SC but it is way overpriced, looking to stay in the 30 - 32k range. I live in NY if that is any help. What do you guys think would be a fair offering price. Looking for something low mileage and probably 06 or 07. Much appreciated.... Steve

take a look at this one, much cheaper and it gives you an idea of price.
i might pay $30k but that seems high to me.

Steve, you should find one and test drive it. I believe you will find it SIGNIFICANTLY heavier than your current car. It is a great feel, but not as nimble as a Z4 or a Mini. Of course, if heavier is better in snow, you may love it.
