Rough idle with ac or headlamps on ??

THis one has me stumped....idle is good in gear without load but if i turn on the AC or the headlamps the idle speed increases slightly but is not as smooth ...very weird...

any ideas:sad:

Have you ever changed the PCV? Positive crankcase ventilation. They are only about $5 or so.

Did this problem begin all at once or gradual?

Sounds like a problem with wire grounding somewhere. Maybe check loose connections?

Does it act this way whether in neutral, drive or both. Engine and trans mounts are not out of the question.

My initial thoughts were charging system problem. I used to have a Honda with a bad alternator and it would cause violent shakes in the engine with increased draw like headlights or AC. Went in for battery check, they said it was alternator not battery. Changed it for a new one. Problems resolved.

Thanks guys I will investigate all these suggestions. Did have a power steering pump leak so hope it hasn't got into the alternater
