How much sound dampening material in sc430

I removed my back seat the other day and saw that there was no sound dampening material in the floor. Its the only place I looked. I was wondering if anyone else had noticed a lack of material in their cars?

it never had sound dampening there.

The seat cushion and seat back foam are suppose to be the sound deadening for you. I did add a layer of Dynamat to the area but there really weren't much improvement. More of phycalogical(because I laid down the mat) than reality. I also have laid a layer of Dynamat in the trunk and under the tool tray and also the spare tire area. I really can't tell any big improvement. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't.

PS. I even Dynamat the sound shield right above the muffler. What a waste of my time and money.

Thanks for the info. I guess I will forget it. The stuff is not cheap.

if you want a great upgrade get the 2008 ISF rear sway bar and bushing with ISF bushing caps.

Easy answer... not enough.

Additionally.. I've used home insulation and Gorilla Tape under the rear seats, rear side panels, and door panels which has done a decent job thus far.
