...what's the fastest you have been and has anyone topped out their their SC and if so how fast will it go? I got up to 125 and slowed down...afraid of getting a ticket.

 

The fasted I hit was 125 as well then got scared lol

KZ1000 125 MPH (only once when I was young and foolish)
Leerjet 55, 525 mph (had a tailwind) )

 

On some earlier threads, there are those that said that they made it up to the 150's. They might have been in Germany though. I do seem to remember some folks taking their cars out on the track, but don't remember whether they topped it out or not.

IIRC, the governor is set to the mid 150's (155 or 157 maybe?).

 

I've hit 125 mph at the end of about a half mile straightaway at the track; need to go to a track .with a longer straight ..

I've had my one at 155 mph with the top up, and with the top down. The limiter prevents it going faster, but there is not a whole lot more left in her anyway. She runs through the fuel fairly fast at that rate of progress. It takes about 1 hour and 40 minutess to empty a full fuel tank going flat out.

 

Was that KZ a "Hurricane"?I remember those from my youth, they were incredibly fast!
Tops to date in my SC, 125 mph in about half a mile from dead stop.
