I got my coilovers installed... i didnt end up removing the panels because it didnt seem easy even after removing almost everything.. plus I didnt feel comfortable trying to pull off stuff in the trunk area with the convertible mechanisms around.. at the end you have to cut holes through cover anyways because the dampening adjustement **** is tall and the covers wont seat plus you need a hole in the cover anyway to adjust dampening.. so I cut a circle big enough to let me access the strut bolts aswell. saved me alot of time keep in mind the cover is made of very thick cardboard (around 1 cm thick), so be patient when cutting your PERFECT circle :P. just find a plastic cover to cover the holes so you can access whenever you wana adjust !

Thanks Bimmer. It's hard for me to ask but do you have a pic on proximity of the cuts? Looks self explanatory but I need to be absolutely sure.

I would also like to know the correct method for removal.
I'm installing Swift springs and Bilsteins next week.

Hi Guys

You may find my thread https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...-pictures.html useful when installing your coilovers.
Removing and replacing the trunk trim was covered very well in a thread by poqman, search his posts and you will find it.

Cheers
Steve

Here is the link to poqman's thread. #51 shows the order to remove. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...r-install.html

I was hoping that I could remove just the two side panels.
Do you have to take out the whole thing?

Refer to page 74-24 screen print. You need to remove the luggage compartment trim cover first before you can remove the side trim covers. There are multiple plastic tabs you need to remove. When removing the side trim covers take your time and be extra careful. Study the screen print to become familiar with the layout of the trim compartment and take your time removing the parts so you don't cause damage to the parts. Best of luck.
