Default Interior Teardown Question

I want to take the interior apart to install Dynamat on the floor boards, backseat, rear quarters, and doors. I figured I would start with the floor since that was the most daunting. I know how to take the seats out, and I've removed the radio and a/c controls when installing the iPod adapter. How do I remove the rest of the center console so I can take the carpet out?

I want to take it down like the linked photo: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/att...e-img_6639.jpg

I'm guessing there is a DIY, but I can't seem to find it. Thanks in advance for your help.

Brian

Dumb question, but why are you adding additional sound deadening? Is the SC430 not just about the lowest noise cabin around?

I agree with you bimmer416. The SC has no sound deadener. I took my back seat out and drove around. It was loud inside the cabin. Neither is there any sound deadener in the trunk.

The only screw I can't get to is on the drivers side. Looks like I have to remove the panel by the ignition. I have removed two bolts, but something is still holding the panel by the ignition switch. Any ideas?

Thanks.
