Default Nav door stopped closing Seat memory dead

Got an interesting electrical issue on my 2004. I'm not sure if the issues are related but they happened at the same time. About a week ago the nav door stopped closing and the seat memory buttons stopped working. When you press the close button the nav screen moves back but the door never closes. The seat memory buttons on the door don't work either but the seat adjustment controls do work. When adjusting the seat position, as the seat moves moves, you hear beeping. It sounds like the same beep that you hear when memorizing a seat position. I checked and tested all the fuses they seem to be good. Anyone have any ideas what may be going on?

Did you recently disconnect your battery? If so you have to re-initialize the seats as well as you have to reset your seat memory's. First move seat all the way back till it beeps then move it all the up to front till it beeps also tilt seat all the way back till it beeps. Try this

The door on your nav may be off its track do a search you will find lots of info on fixing it.

Default Fixed seat!

That fixed the seat memory Thanks!!!!
Now its on to the nav door issue. I'm planning on putting in a different receiver so I'll wait on that until I get the dash apart.

Thanks again for your help!!

Glad you were able to reset seats and memory. Did you disconnect the Battery ? That's why you lost your settings.

Does your nav door motor make any noise at all. It may just be it slipped its track

No never disconnected the battery but I hit a very large pothole that did a lot of damage. That's when I think the door may have stopped working. So I think you're probably right it's off the track. Bent the wheel, blew the colilover insert and bent the steering rod. It's so nice when you have holes like that on major freeways!

Someone who repaired the car may have disconnected the battery. Did you lose your radio station pre-sets.

That's probably what happened. I don't use the radio much at all, I've got my phone connected to the VAIS so I didn't even think to check the presets.

It is very possible that the cable came loose off of the door motor. That would explain why you don't hear any noise and it is very possible the jolt jarred it loose.
