Painted 'L'

First of all, I'm not really going to paint the L red on my car, as I think I might want to sell it someday.
Secondly, the illuminated "L" mentioned above would have been a good idea if Mercedes had not just introduced its own illuminated 3 point star as a dealer-installed option on 2014 E-Class, 2013+ GL-Class, 2012+ M-Class and 2006+ CLS-Class cars. No kidding - really - you can retrofit your 2006 CLS with this bad boy all lit up like a thrill ride at an amusement park. The photo below is not something I cooked up in Photoshop, although I realize I have little credibility on that point. Disbelievers can view the official MB video here, which I recommend:
