Thanks Mandy, its bloody snowing here...........and I didn't put the cover on her before it started, damn!

Probably be another three months before I get the top down again!!

I took her out for a drive on Saturday, but going by the weather forcast, she will more than likely stay put for awhile.

Best
Steve

Steve,

What did you replace the fogs with? They look nice.

Hi Mandy

My fogs have been replaced with round LED DRL's.

I took off the bumper and removed the existing fogs, made brackets for the new ones and fitted them to the same fixing points.
Made a perspex cover that I glued to the back off the foglight trim which I sprayed body colour.
Job done.

Few pictures.
Unfortunately I did not take pictures of the brackets as it was just a test, but it worked out fine.
You can just see the brackets in the picture before I put the cover on. Sprayed them black so you cant see them.

Best regards
Steve

How did you access the fogs? I was stumped on this and did not do the change over. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I dropped the bumper for access. That is necessary for Steve's mod. For yet another option see:

Good luck.

Hi Mandy

As Slv Bullet said you will need to drop the bumper.

We don't have DRL's built into the headlights in the UK so as I rearly use the fogs I decided to change them to DRL's.
They are on whenever the engine is running unless the headlights are on, then they go off.

Best regards
Steve

Thanks, guess the LED is not going to the fogs, for now. I know that i does not take a lot to take the bumper down. But is a 2 man job.

I took off my RX330 bumper to repair my headlamp leak. So I really should not fear the SC's. I have done a Maxima, front and rear as well.

Hi Mandy

It is not a two man job, it's easy.
The only tricky bit is where the bumper meets the fender, there is a clip that you have to be quite forceful to pull the bumper away from, bit of a knack to it.

Cheers
Steve

Hi Steve,

I am closer to taking it on...a bit more nudge.

Thanks.
