Default Daytime Running Lights (DRL) Yellow to White

I've searched a few threads and know some people have converted their DRL's to LED to make them white in color. Since I'm going to replace my daytime running lights at the same time at the same time I change my HID low beam lights.

Question, in the manual it says they are 9005 bulbs at 60 watts per bulb, type A. Can I get rid of the yellow color of the daytime running lights if I buy a higher end bulb that specifies they are whiter in color like the Sylvania Silverstar bulb?

Thanks in advance for any answers to this question.

of course you can.

Some will claim that the whiter bulb runs at a higher wattage and therefore 'hotter' which is true, but the headlamp will handle it.

I bought some '10$ specials' at a local parts place a year ago and they're holding up fine, and those bulbs are 20 watts 'more' than the called for OE 60watt bulbs.

FYI - I had my high and low beam bulbs changed on my '06 SC and to my surprise the running lights remained yellow. There is a parking light bulb that I believe is the DRL on the '06+ SC's, which is a 168, 5 watt, type C bulb. These will be very easy to swap out compared to the HIDs.
