I found it on Ebay, just by chance the dealer was in the same town I live in! (St. Petersburg) Luck or meant to be or both?? Anyway, the place is called Genuine Motorcars. They specialize in late model luxury cars. They were great to work with and fair. This car only had 17,400 miles on it and I got it for $39K. Seemed like a good price considering they only made 400 of the PB in 07.

The rarity of the PB edition makes it special for sure. I've only seen one color combo I like on the special edition and that is the Tigereye mica with the two tone camel/ecru interior. For whatever reason, kbb dings the resale value by ~$400 or so when you check the PB option. Not sure why.
Still $39K is the low end of prices for '07+ SC430s with less than 20K miles, so you got a good deal.
I picked one up myself a few days ago with 12K miles on it:

obsessed??
Wow, I think I'm becoming obsessed with my new car! When I'm not driving it, I'm thinking about it. I been reading some of the threads here on CL and have already decided to ditch the run flats when the time comes to improve the ride. I'll get a spare when that time comes. I've also ordered a Luxlink. I can't wait to have that installed. Having a little trouble with the XM radio interface. It works fine except for when I want to change the channel. Sometimes it works, sometimes it takes 6+ trys?? Anyway, Thanks for all your help guys

RG,
I just signed a contract on a red 2008 SC430. It has 45,000 miles but its mint. I'll probably only drive it 5,000 miles a year. Now we will have 3 Lexuses <sp> in the Garage. So what is the plural for Lexus?
My wife is always concerned about unexpected repair costs. Being that the first delivery date on this SC was 11/08, it still has 1 month left on the factory warranty. This makes it eligible to purchase a Lexus Extended Platinum warranty to cover it with "0" dedictable for another 4 years. So I'll have one with a new car warranty, one with a CPO warranty and one with a Platinum Extended warranty.

The PB Edition on my KBB adds $600 to the value according to my research..
This unique car was bought by the dealer at the PA auction on 9/13. It was the highest price paid for any 2007 or 2008 SC in the country at auction in the last 30 days. Even more than Black 2008 w/14 k miles went for at PB auction this month. That tells you something about the unique value of this car. Dealers don’t overpay.
If I saw it first I would have bought it.
The dealer did not make gouge the buyer or a huge profit after considering the action fees paid and transportation cost to Florida..

Yup. I guess varies from year to year. I see the same thing for a 2007 with 17K miles on. Regardless, I think I was pretty clear in implying that he got a good deal regardless of whether it was a PB edition or not given that it was below the low range of all asking prices in the US on 06+ models with that kind of mileage.

stealerships
What's up with the frikin dealers? I had a SC400 in the 90's and they treated me like gold. My new SC430 only had one key so the place I bought it got another one from a place called ikeyless.com. They told me to take it to the dealer to cut and program it. I called and made the appointment. Once I got there they refused to do it, said it could mess up there key cutter. Whatever.... the service writer couldn't even look me in the eye when he said that. What a load. Apparantly, they will only cut keys purchased at the dealer.
Now keep in mind I just got the car and will need service on it for long as I own it. I also wanted to check out their warranties because my new ride had been lexus certified two years ago. And, I told the service writer I wanted to buy a valet key. They really blew it. I wouldn't step foot in that dealership again. No wonder people on CL call them "stealerships"!!
I ended up at a local locksmith where they cut and programed it and the dealer I bought it from paid for it. I think it cost $80.
