Default dang hand controls can **** yer speakers too Levinson land!

My solution was to mKe little duct tape sttips and freeze vo and ser. It was too easy to not know if it was set and
next thing you know, if you inadverdently/deliberately pushed set, you could have the stereo playing at 747
take off level!
I rhought Lexus had a recall on thos but Sk a xealer today-hahahah! I am sure I murdered
one full rNge speaker from this, and sorry kiddies, no free recones!
You have been warned!

Let me add my thanks to those of you who created and explained this post.

I had an appointment today to get an AppleCar Play set up using the beatsonic adapter, and the shop said it could not be done with the non functioning volume buttons.

I found this reference to the TSB and showed them. we tried it, and it didn't work so the project looked like a no go.

after I got home I thought I would try it again, because "what did I have to lose?"

IT WORKED ON MY THIRD ATTEMPT. Oh happy day!!!

Now back to get the new audio set up installed.

I know it has been a few years, but can you maybe explain what you meant here? You just put duct tape over the buttons so they wouldn't move anymore?
